Bio: Thomas Frank is an American author, journalist, columnist and social critic. His books include The Wrecking Crew, and One Market Under God, and What's the Matter with Kansas? How Conservatives Won the Heart of America. He is the founding editor of The Baffler, a Chicago-based magazine devoted to cultural criticism, and a contributing editor at Harper's. His essays have appeared in Harper’s Magazine, Le Monde Diplomatique, Bookforum, the Financial Times, and the New York Times. Mr. Frank is the newest columnist at the Wall Street Journal, writing The Tilting Yard since May 2008. He received a Lannan Literary Fellowship in 2004.
