Bio: Isaiah J. Poole is the executive editor of TomPaine.com and OurFuture.org. He has worked for more than 25 years as an editor and reporter for various newspapers, mostly in Washington, and has written articles on topics ranging from presidential politics to pop culture. Before coming to TomPaine.com in 2006, he was a reporter for Congressional Quarterly writing about the actions of the Republican leadership. He is a founding member of the Washington Association of Black Journalists and the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association and has been a frequent behind-the-scenes supporter of organizations and churches involved in the fight for fairness and equality. He is a native Washingtonian.
