Pretty damn good really
A review of the conference overall

The venue would have gotten three stars EXCEPT the wifi worked great. How incredibly refreshing. Content was really good and the networking was also great. Not much schwag though, but you can't have everything...

Very cool stuff
A review of the session "Pipes: A Tool for Remixing the Web"

(disclaimer... I'm involved)

Pasha recovered nicely from network unavailability and Jonathan was great giving context to Pipes. They announced support for REST and other web services. There were good questions about monetization.

Tech'ing up the human body
A review of the session "Body Hacking"

Quinn started off by recounting a tale of a tumor that baffled doctors. The patient used imaging technology himself to image the tumor and it was subsequently successfully removed. Some great points about how we're teching up our bodies and some great questions (why isn't lasik considered equivalent to steroids for athletic performance improvement?). A highly interesting and engaging talk...

One point I found fascinating is that treatments are evolving so quickly that there's no time for long term testing before a particular treatment is out of date... makes you go hmm...

Great speaker
I've read a lot of Danah's work, but this was the first time I saw her speak. Fabulous... if you haven't read any of her writings... it's a must.

(I rated the session 4/5 only because I've read some of it before..)
