Session: Jobs and Aid via SMS: Souktel
Description
Souktel uses ground-breaking (but simple!) SMS software to link young people in developing countries with jobs and connect aid agencies with people who need help. Presenters will offer research findings AND lessons learned from practical implementation by demonstrating the technology, explaining its technical and end-user service components, and sharing real-life examples of the software in action. We include an open-door invitation for attendees at MobileActive08 to take the technology back into their own environments.
