There is a growing abundance of global conferences and symposia on bio fuels simply because of the political and legislative pressures to encourage the use of these alternatives. This has been brought on by the wake of continuing high oil prices, the growing insecurity of crude oil and petroleum based fuels, and increasing concerns about road transport's contribution to global warming. However, virtually all of these conferences neglect the in-depth issues of global fuel specifications and how these affect the performance of future fuels in the vehicles in the market place. This symposium will be unique for it will be organized in support of the needs of the motor industry and its alliances with representation from the U.S., Europe and Asia. All will address the question, "how will rapid growth in global bio fuels affect the global specifications and performance of future fuels?"
