BPM 2008 is the sixth conference in a series that provides the most distinguished specialized forum for researchers and practitioners in Business Process Management. BPM 2008 will be held from 1-4 September 2008 in Milan, Italy and is organised by the Information Systems Research Group of the Department of Electronics and Information of Politecnico di Milano. Conference Aims and Objectives The BPM 2008 conference provides a forum for presentation and exchange of research results and practical experiences within the field of Business Process Management. As in previous years, the programme will feature invited talks, tutorials, paper sessions, workshops and panel discussions. The BPM conference also aims at bridging the viewpoints of leading research outcomes with practical demands. In addition to the main research track, BPM 2008 will include an industrial papers track. Awards will be given to the best papers in different categories. In addition, authors of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their paper to a special issue of Data and Knowledge Engineering (DKE, an Elsevier Science Journal).
