As one of the newly independent countries of the former Soviet Union, Azerbaijan is strategically located at the crossroads of the Middle East, Asia and Europe, being the economic centre of Caucasus. Azerbaijan borders the Caspian Sea, where oil and gas reserves are enormous. Its neighbours include Turkey, Georgia, Russia, Iran and Armenia.

The Republic of Azerbaijan, which offers a fast developing market that has shown impressive, sustained economic growth is now attracting billions in foreign investment, particularly from companies seeking to gain a market presence in the oil rich Caspian region.

The building industry is growing rapidly and as lots of projects for house and office building, road construction are planned, many foreign companies have shown great interest in this market and some of them are already involved in such building projects.
