Searching for increasing competitiveness, with ICT as a major enabling force, the individual companies are constantly developing their position in the networks. They outsource and insource operations, develop collaborative strategies and processes towards suppliers as well as customers, and include into their networks more and more also the end-users, even the competitors. In these dynamic networks, managers are confronted with hard challenges of inter-organizational innovation, covering the whole life-cycle from the development and design of new products, services, processes and business models, to their implementation, and even to recycling.
