On behalf of the ECMOR Scientific Committee, I invite you to attend the 11th European Conference on the Mathematics of Oil Recovery ― ECMOR XI. The conference will be held in the second week of September 2008 at the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in the centre of Bergen. The city is located on the west coast of Norway with beautiful islands and fjords just outside.

The ECMOR Conferences are a forum for presenting new results in mathematical research and development on the exploitation of oil and gas reservoirs. An important aspect of the conferences is the interplay between theory and practice, where computations play a central role. We wish to attract researchers and engineers from industry and academia who have a genuine interest in solutions for the mathematical challenges in improved oil recovery.
