Nanotech Northern Europe brings together the field’s top scientists and leading international companies in order to advance the beneficial use of nanotechnology. The 2008 event concentrates around three application areas:

- Sustainable solutions for energy and environment
- Nanotechnology-enabled ICT
- Nanobiotechnology and nanomedicine

The program also features sessions on:

- Global nanotechnology and business development
- Safety and risk management
- Tech transfer

Nanotech Northern Europe 2008 event is supported by a comprehensive consortium of key partners.

This includes key organising partners from Denmark, the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation (DASTI), Danish Advanced Technology Foundation, Nano-Science Center at the University of Copenhagen, the Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center (iNANO) at the University of Aarhus and Aalborg University, the Technical University of Denmark and Lund University. Nanotech Northern Europe also welcomes back Nokia as an event partner for the fourth year in succession.
