The 4th annual Math & Science Institute will be held at St. Martin's Episcopal School in Metairie, LA. The institute is modeled after the Anja S. Greer Summer Math Conference held yearly at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, NH. The institute features in-depth content-centered programs in areas of interest to middle and secondary level teachers. Programs are lead by nationally recognized leaders in mathematics and science education and registration for each program is limited to 20 participants. This year the institute will offer three distinct formats for participation: 1. four-day (21-24 July 2008), in depth, subject specific, courses (pre-registration required, each participant could take 2 of these mini-courses), 2. three days of a more open-format (22-24 July 2008), offering a variety of sessions in each subject area for participants to choose from at will, and 3. a combination of taking one of the in depth courses (either in the morning or afternoon, pre-registration required) along with the ability to take advantage of the open session offerings.
