Content Convergence & Integration 2008

Session: Content Mash-ups: An assault on copyright or a new publishing reality?
Description
Travis Smith from Hop Studios is taking over this session.

Content reuse is the new reality on the Web. We don’t think too much about it until it’s our content being reused. Users are remixing and mashing content everywhere on the Web. From content aggregation pages like Google News to fragrant copyright violations on YouTube our content is being re-published somewhere else by someone else.

If Web 2.0 is about conversations then we need to be prepared for our content to be used as part of those conversations. This session will discuss how to leverage this new reality and get it working for you.
The session will discuss what you can do with your content to improve the chances that your content is reused for your benefit.
